Where and How to Enjoy Albuquerque in May!
Welcome back to the Albuquerque Self Storage blog! We have gone over a number of the best uses for storage units, the best practices for storing furniture, how to prep a car for long-term storage. A lot. We cover a lot of things. At this point, we feel pretty good about how you are handling and properly utilizing self-storage space so we are moving to something a bit different. You see, people use self storage for a number of reasons, but one of the biggest ones for our customers is to improve their quality of life, they want the room and freedom it brings. Well, in the interest of improving life we wanted to focus on our great city of Albuquerque and all the opportunities available to us!

The season started April 5th and will keep on going through til the end of October! Enjoy the weather before it gets too hot and check out Isotopes Park for some great plays! Game times vary and prices range from $7 -$25.
Da Vinci, the Genius
This exhibit at the New Mexico Museum of Natural History & Science is all about one of history’s most fascinating characters! Running every day until July 29th from 9am to 5pm. It will cost roughly $20. The exhibit is the most comprehensive traveling work on da Vinci ever seen! It is designed for all audiences, from kids to adults. While there don’t forget to check out all the dinosaurs and the Lodestar Astronomy Center.
Indian Pueblo Cultural Center
The Indian Pueblo Cultural Center is home to a number of great exhibits of art and history. Open from 9am – 5pm, the museum, at 2401 12th St. N.W., has art exhibits of Ricardo Caté and his current work (that seeks to handle current events and his experience dealing with the Dakota Access Pipeline.)
Bring Your Own Vinyl
Head out to the Red Door Brewing Company every Tuesday at 6:00 PM with your favorite record and the bartenders at the Candelaria location will put it on! They note “Peeps should make sure the vinyl is in good condition so others don’t judge them for bringing scratched records. No griping about types of music, we’re here to share!” So, yeah, don’t be judged!
High Noon History
From noon to 1:15pm, for $10-$20, head out on a leisurely walking tour of our lovely city with certified tour guides to walking about the centuries-old Old Town area. Be on the lookout for ghosts!
These are just some of the hundreds of activities across our city this coming month. The museums are full of exhibits featuring art from across the world. Walking, riding, and trolley tours criss-cross the city center and can inform all of us on a wealth of Albuquerque history. Check out the library for story time!
