Strange Uses for a Storage Unit
Storage units are all universal in the fact that they give us extra room to store items we don’t have space for in our homes. Over the years and across the country storage units have gained some bizarre stories and other functions, here are a few of the strangest.
Hideout
In Missouri, a security guard doing his usual rounds had heard strange noises coming from one of the units. After further investigation, he found a burglar that had accidentally trapped himself in the storage unit he was trying to steal from twenty-four hours prior. He was later convicted and sent to jail.
Music Practice
A band located in Hawaii was found having a full practice session within a storage unit rented out to them. In their defense, they claimed it was cheaper than using a music studio.
Offices
It is not entirely uncommon to find small business owners using a unit as a fully functional office space with furniture and dress code included. Some storage places allow this, but not all.
A Peculiar Collection
One man purchased a storage unit to find later he had become the new owner of several unskillfully preserved human organs. It wasbelieved that this storage unit belonged to a past medical examiner that was fired in 2003 for several unfinished autopsy reports. Eeek.
