It is that time of year again. The calendar has flipped over and January has arrived. For most people, this means it is time to start making New Year’s resolutions. This is an annual trend in which individuals thinks of ways they can improve over the course of the next year. Not surprisingly, nearly 70 percent of New Year’s resolutions are abandoned by March. 1. Improve Organization

This is a big one. It won’t just pay off in terms of organizing your storage unit, it could help you big in almost every other aspect of life. Why not practice somewhere you are comfortable with, in a space you can really wrap your head around. Start getting organized by heading into you storage unit. Before you can really get organized, you need to make a detailed inventory. Go through every items and add it to a list. Keep this list organized as well! See, you are already getting the hang of things.

2. Resolve not to cut Corners

Again, this is a resolution that could pay big dividends in your normal life as well. Resolving not to cut corners is the same as resolving do to this the right way. You don’t need shortcuts or gimmicks. You are not just going to toss boxes into your storage unit haphazardly. You are going to stack them carefully. You are not going to push the couch down the stairs to move it. No, that would damage the couch and your home! You are going to carry it with a friend, step by step, carefully, and get it out the door in one piece.
